When travelling to Amsterdam, please ensure you get to the venue by yourself.
Booking and paying for the travel is completely the responsibility of the participants.
Arriving by plane? Schiphol airport! Take a taxi or train to your hotel.
It is easy to travel in both directions by using the public transport – train and metro (for those arriving at Schiphol airport) and simply take metro 51 (Orange line – getting off at metro stop ‘Overamstel’ when you arrive in Amsterdam Centraal by train).
The train station in Schiphol is located directly below Schiphol Plaza. Schiphol Plaza is a shopping center at Schiphol. It’s part of the arrivals hall that is for arriving travellers after passport control, integrated with the station hall of Schiphol Airport Station.
You can buy a train ticket from Schiphol airport to Amsterdam Zuid or Amsterdam Rai online: NS site OR at the blue/grey Public Transport Tickets machines. These are located at the baggage claim of Arrivals 3 and just outside Arrivals 3, at the escalators up to Departures 3.
For the public transport IN Amsterdam we do offer the possibility to purchase 24-hour public transport tickets which you can use in the city of Amsterdam. You can buy these tickets on the booking page of the registration form.
From the train station in Schiphol you take the train to Amsterdam Zuid (about 6 min) OR Amsterdam Rai (about 9 minutes).
If you decide to book your hotel accommodation in the Van der Valk Hotel Amsterdam – Amstel OR the Leonardo Royal Hotel Amsterdam:
In Amsterdam Zuid you take the metro 51 at Metro station-Zuidplein (orange line direction Amsterdam Centraal) and get off at Metro station Overamstel.
OR In Amsterdam Rai you take the metro 50 at Metro station RAI (green line direction Gein) and get off at Metro station Overamstel.

Arriving by car?
Note:
There is no vignette system in the Netherlands. The vehicles that are allowed to drive are determined by the European standard. It can be recognised by the number plate. Visit the site of the European Access regulator.
Since November 2020, Amsterdam has had a green environmental zone for diesel passenger cars. Diesel cars are only allowed to enter the environmental zone if they have emission class 4 or higher. Passenger cars with a diesel engine and an emission class 3 or lower are no longer allowed. So if your diesel car has emission standard (EURO) 4 or higher (built in 2006 or later) then your car has unlimited access.
- Cars that do not run on diesel are welcome in the environmental zone.
- If your vehicle meets the Amsterdam environmental zone requirements, you do not need to register your vehicle (as is the case in some other countries).
Parking spots are available at both Van der Valk and Leonardo Royal Hotels on first come first served basis. There are cheaper options at some distance, called P+R (Park & Ride).
